anthropos (ἄνθρωπος) –
ancient Greek word that means “Human”
Anthropos is a multi-location urban festival exploring how we live, relate, and connect in an increasingly fast-paced, digital, and often isolating world.
Rather than offering abstract theory or spiritual dogma, Anthropos focuses on practical, human skills: how we communicate, how we experience our bodies, how we form meaningful relationships, and how we stay present in a culture shaped by technology and constant distraction.
Set against the backdrop of the city, this festival brings together thought leaders, interactive workshops, and immersive sessions looking at how we navigate intimacy, communication, and self-awareness in a hyper-connected (yet woefully disconnected) world.
From discussions on the future of relationships to explorations through breath and movement, Anthropos challenges you to question, engage, and evolve.
This is your space to rediscover what it means to be fully human.
At Anthropos, we’re diving straight into the questions that show up for many of us in a screen-saturated world, the ones that shape how you relate, connect, and feel in your day-to-day life:
What happens to desire when algorithms curate your attractions, porn rewires your expectations, and virtual intimacy promises connection without the complexity of real bodies?
How do you reclaim a sense of presence when so much of your life is filtered through a screen, and your days move at a pace that leaves little room to pause?
How do you rebuild trust, vulnerability, and honest conversation without the safety net of edits, ghosting, or algorithmic mediation?
What do unscripted, real-world encounters still teach us about staying connected?
Through thought-provoking, perspective-shifting talks, practical workshops, and immersive practices, our program is an invitation into a lived experiment…
A space to practice presence.
To reconnect with your body and your instincts.
To experience what real connection feels like again.
We’re bringing together voices exploring how technology is shaping our intimate lives, how we stay connected, and what it takes to remain human as everything accelerates.
Sessions explore conscious relating and communication, intimacy, conscious kink, embodiment, and more, with presenters joining from Toronto, Ottawa, New York City, and beyond.
The program is rooted in real, lived experience, with practical sessions on navigating conflict, building real connection and community, regulating your nervous system, and staying grounded and self-connected.
Each session offers a way in, whether you’re looking to deepen your knowledge and practices, understand your personal and relational patterns, or follow a sense that there may be another way of being.
Our lineup features some of the leading voices and teachers on what it means to be human in the 21st Century.
