1. General Anthropos Information

What is Anthropos?

Anthropos is an urban festival exploring how we live, relate, and connect in modern life. Through talks, workshops, panels, and embodied experiences, it examines intimacy, communication, sexuality, embodiment, and human connection in a contemporary context.

Anthropos is for adults curious about relationships, embodiment, intimacy, communication, and conscious living. No prior experience is required.
Anthropos is created by ONE Conscious Experiences, the team behind the Toronto Tantra Festival. It offers an urban, conversational counterpart to the immersive, residential Tantra Festival held later in the year.
No. While related themes may be explored, Anthropos is not a tantra training or retreat. The focus is inquiry, dialogue, and lived experience.
No. Individuals, couples, and friends are all welcome.

Grounded, thoughtful, and exploratory. Participation is invitational and self-paced.

Some smaller breakout sessions or somatic workshops may require advance sign-up due to limited capacity. Details and instructions will be shared with registered participants a few weeks prior to the festival.

2. Practical Information

This year, Anthropos is being held at the Centre for Social Innovation in downtown Toronto.

No. Anthropos is a non-residential, city-based festival. Participants arrange their own accommodations.
Comfortable clothing for sitting and light movement. You may wish to bring a notebook and a water bottle.
Ticket, refund, and transfer policies are outlined at the time of purchase. Please review carefully before registering.

Pets are not permitted at Anthropos. The only exception is certified service animals or recognized support animals in accordance with accessibility guidelines. If you have specific accessibility needs, please contact the Anthropos team in advance.
All programming is in English.
Yes. Anthropos is an adults-only event (18+).

The use or sale of illegal substances is strictly prohibited at Anthropos. The use of cannabis or other recreational substances is also not permitted during festival programming.

Some workshops may include educational discussions about the use of plant or other medicines; however, Anthropos is not a space for substance use.

While ONE Conscious Experiences may serve alcohol at certain events, Anthropos Urban Festival is alcohol-free.

3. Code of Conduct & Participation Guidelines

Participation is always invitational. You are encouraged to engage at your own pace and level of comfort. There is no requirement to share personal stories, participate in exercises, or engage physically.

Anthropos is rooted in explicit consent, personal agency, and respect for boundaries. Consent is required for any form of interaction. “No,” “not now,” or a withdrawal of consent is always honoured without explanation.
No, there is no nudity or sexual activity.
Anthropos maintains a clear Code of Conduct. Disrespectful behaviour, boundary violations, harassment, or coercion are not tolerated. Support structures and clear reporting pathways are in place to address concerns if they arise.
While Anthropos is not a therapeutic setting, facilitators are experienced in holding sensitive topics with care. Participants are encouraged to self-regulate, opt out when needed, and prioritize their well-being throughout the festival.
